The Department, established in 2009, is known for its high-quality management education, world-class infrastructure, and faculty. Well-designed state-of-the-art smart-class rooms, computer facilities, and a well-equipped library are the hallmarks of the department. The Department of Management Studies offers MBA programs on a 2-year full-time basis. The curriculum has been carefully crafted by Anna University to give students a clear perspective on developing, implementing, and assessing company strategy.

Every Semester regularly conduct Guest lectures, HR Connect, Workshops, Industrial visits, Outbound training with Trekking, Coffee with CEO Meet up, Entrepreneurship, and leadership skills through Industry and Corporate involvement.

Teaching Faculty members are well-qualified and have vast experience in research to teach and supervise various UG and PG Programmes. Experienced and Domain Specialized Faculty with Sound Industrial and Academic Experience.

Club Activities:

The business club is an MBA department-guided and student-driven initiative that collaborates with both the corporate and academia. It was established mainly to bridge the gap between academics (theoretical knowledge) and industry (practical scenarios). The office bearers will be elected to organize several events and the students will be divided into groups.

The basic objectives of conducting the Management Club activities are:

Dr. B. Velmurugan is the Professor and HoD of Management Studies, at NPR College of Engineering & Technology with 11 years and 7 months of Teaching experience in Management Studies. He is a Finance and HR professional and proficient in major finance and HR functions like compensation, Training & Development, Recruitment, and Labour welfare.

He obtained his Master’s Degree in Finance & HR from Anna University, Chennai in the year of 2012. He was awarded an M.Phil and Ph.D. from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore in the area of An Empirical Investigation on NSE Listed Companies with Special Reference to Wealth Maximization Approach for Dindigul Investors, Tamil Nadu in the year 2019.

He has participated in and presented research papers at national and international conferences and also holds 67 article publications in leading journals. He acted as a resource person for Outbound Training across various institutions in Tamilnadu.
